Lica Cecato is a Brazilian interdisciplinary artist whose work moves between music, poetry and visual arts.

Born in Brazil and based in Europe since 1978, she develops a practice exploring sound, image and language as expressions of a shared creative source.

A singer, songwriter and instrumentalist (voice, guitar and shamisen), she has released 14 albums and composed more than 70 songs.

Lica Cecato received the Sarah Vaughan Award and a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston during the 80's and has been performing internationally across Europe, Asia, the Americas and Australia.

During her residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, she presented two exhibitions and two concerts, including the premiere of an interactive contemporary work with Florent Jodelet of the Orchestre National de France(ONF).

Lica lives between Venezia (northern Italy), Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) and Kamakura (Japan)
