Lica CECATO is an internationally recognized musician and visual artist. Born in Brazil, she moved to Europe in 1978 and has been traveling the globe ever since. Her talents range from singing and songwriting to playing guitar, shamisen. She has released 14 CDs, composed over 70 songs, and won the Sarah Vaughn award and scholarship at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Lica Cecato has had the privilege to collaborate with some of the top musicians in the industry, both international and Brazilian. She has been performing in Jazz Festivals around the world, including Asia, Europe, South and North America, and even Australia.
As a visual artist, she started 20 years ago showing her work in Rio de Janeiro, and has since done exhibitions in cities such as Köln, Paris, Venice, and Tokyo. Her art is an exploration of the relationship between music and visual expression, and how these two forms can be combined to create something unique and powerful.
